Engineering Technician
Job Responsibilities
As a member of the technical staff, the Engineering Technician is responsible for the design of new electronic products up to full production. This includes specification reviews, development of program timelines and reports, design reviews, simple mechanical designs, documentation packages, preproduction builds and transfers to production. This engineer will also be responsible for technical support of some mature electronic products currently in production.
Job Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum of two years of experience in electronic design with electronic circuit technology assembly processes (analog, digital and/or high voltage design). Experience in test fixture design and fabrication, repair and analysis of electronic systems. Must have exposure to electrical engineering design principles and methodologies.
- Experience with contractual related project/work environment, in providing engineering support to electronic maintenance, and in establishing processes/guidelines for electric design. Experience working with analog circuit simulation tools.
- Experience with network configuration and testing.
- Proficiency in MS Office. Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Cisco systems and routers a plus.
- Willingness to change shifts as required.
Electronic Technician
Job Requirements/Qualifications
Required:
- Must be skilled at troubleshooting communications hardware/equipment at the component level to determine the source of the problem.
- One year certificate from a college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be skilled at reading and interpreting schematics, drawings, specifications, manuals and plans.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of word processing software, order processing systems, project management software, manufacturing software and database software is preferred.
