Test Development Engineer

Description:

Restor Telecom Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Test Development Engineer to join our team in Leesburg, FL and help deliver innovative solutions for testing of various telecommunication hardware & equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Define and Develop Test requirements for a wide range of telecommunications equipment.
• Design and implement complete test solutions including test equipment selection, fixture design and software development.
• Work with digital and analog circuits to develop test methods and test automation flows that meet testing requirements for specific systems.
• Ability to use a variety of test methodologies to achieve the above, including VXI, GPIB or ATE on customized test fixtures at the component level or from the card edge.
• Take ownership of a project with minimal supervision from start to finish.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

Required:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field of study.
• Relevant Work Experience of 2+ years
• Experience with at least one programming software package (Lab View, C++, VB etc).
• Expert in the test of analog and digital components.
• Knowledge of Data Equipment such as Cisco routers a plus.

Engineering Technician

Job Responsibilities:

As a member of the technical staff, the Engineering Technician is responsible for the design of new electronic products up to full production. This includes specification reviews, development of program timelines and reports, design reviews, simple mechanical designs, documentation packages, preproduction builds and transfers to production. This engineer will also be responsible for technical support of some mature electronic products currently in production.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

Required:

• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum of two years of experience in electronic design with electronic circuit technology assembly processes (analog, digital and/or high voltage design). Experience in test fixture design and fabrication, repair and analysis of electronic systems. Must have exposure to electrical engineering design principles and methodologies.
• Experience with Cisco systems and routers a must.
• Experience with contractual related project/work environment, in providing engineering support to electronic maintenance, and in establishing processes/guidelines for electric design. Experience working with analog circuit simulation tools.
• Experience with network configuration and testing.
• Proficiency in MS Office. Willingness to participate in a team-oriented environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to change shifts as required.

Electronic Technician

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

Required:

• Must be skilled at troubleshooting communications hardware/equipment at the component level to determine the source of the problem.
• One year certificate from a college or technical school, or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be skilled at reading and interpreting schematics, drawings, specifications, manuals and plans.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of word processing software, order processing systems, project management software, manufacturing software and database software is preferred.
